The live logging function that enables transfer of the proxy AV data to a PC, or sending/receiving of the metadata with a PC while shooting, is supported. -Planning metadata read function is added. (CBKZ-UPG01 is required separately.) Reading of the planning metadata using the web browser that is installed in a PC is enabled.
-Wireless LAN function is supported (Wi-Fi Adapter is supported.) (CBKZ-UPG01 is required separately.) By installing the Wi-Fi adapter CBK-WA01 (optional), various settings that are required to connect the wireless LAN are enabled. At the same time, the wireless LAN connection status can be displayed in the memory symbol/remaining memory display area of the viewfinder when the wireless LAN connection is enabled. When you want to save the wireless LAN related settings in ALL FILE, execute Wi-Fi SETUP in the Wi-Fi page of the MAINTENANCE menu to display the Wi-Fi SETTING screen, then select “ESC” and execute ALL FILE SAVE. The respective setting values are saved in ALL FILE excluding the KEY values. When you want to LOAD the saved settings, set the NETWORK DATA to “ON” on the ALL FILE page, and then execute ALL FILE. * When CBK-WA01 is installed in this model, the equipment cannot be housed in the hard carrying case LC-H300 as it is. Remove CBK-WA01 and then house it in the carrying case.
-SD 23.98PD record function is added (Only for PDW-700/F800. CBKZ-MD01 is required separately for PDW-700.) REC FORMAT can be selected from IMX50/IMX40/IMX30/DVCAM when the SYSTEM LINE is set to 720, the SYSTEM FREQUENCY is set to 59.9P, and the SCAN MODE is set to 23.9P on the FORMAT page of the OPERATION menu. - Scene File No. display function is added Scene file number (“S1” to “S5”) that is being used at present can be displayed on the viewfinder. The current display status including the “■” mark to display the scene file calling status on the SCENE FILE page of the FILE menu is maintained even after the power is cycled.
-SD-SDI output video signal frequency characteristics selection function is added By switching the newly installed DC SDI BANDWIDTH on the CAM CONFIG 3 page of the MAINTENANCE menu, the frequency bandwidth of the down-converted SD-SDI output video signal can be changed.
-NETWORK menu display contents are expanded The MAC address display is added to the NETWORK page of the OPERATION menu. At the same time, the NETWORK page is divided to the NETWORK 1 page and the NETWORK 2 page. The network setting will be made on the sub page after the NETWORK SETUP has been executed in order to eliminate the need for power-off and reboot upon completion of the setting. When the file in which the NETWORK page item is individually registered in the USER menu using the software version 1.5 or lower is read, the item will not be reflected because of this change.
-Clip Property display is extended The playback frame rate of the clips that are recorded by the slow & quick motion recording can be displayed on the clip information screen of the XDCAM web page during playback, and the frame rate during recording can also be displayed. * Use Internet Explorer 7 or 8 for the web browser of the PC. When the 64-bit version Windows is used, this function may not work normally with the 32-bit version Internet Explorer. Use the 64-bit version Internet Explorer for the 64-bit version Windows.
-Web Thumbnail http Download function is added As the method of downloading the high resolution data, proxy AV data or metadata on the clip information screen of the XDCAM web page, not only FTP Download but also HTTP Download is supported.

Index!” displayed when the power was shut down while the disc was being accessed. It is corrected. Improvement of the Salvage function Improvement of operations when the remote control unit is connected ▪ An improvement is made to support the function that applies zebra (Gate) on the interlocked area when the 16 axis (Phase) that became the target of the multi matrix correction function is switched from the remote control unit such as RM-B750/MSU-900. However, this function may not work depending on the types of the remote control unit and the software version. * The remote control units and the software versions that can be interlocked RM-B750 Ver1.20 or higher RCP-750/751 Ver1.30 or higher MSU-900/950 Ver1.10 or higher Improvement of Planning Metadata functions ▪ An improvement is made so that the planning metadata can be saved only automatically without reading it when the planning metadata is written in the specified directory of a disc via FTP/FAM. It is made possible by writing “load ="false"” as the load attribute in the planning metadata tag. Improvement of camera metadata FAM/FTP related improvements ▪ When a folder was saved in the general directory from a PC, the update time in the folder on the disc was the update time of the PC. It is corrected to be the update time of this machine. ▪ The Footer Partition value of the MXF file that was recorded with the clip continuous recording function was not correct. This error is corrected. Improvements to Direct FTP function
Other Improvements 3. Version Upgrade Procedure Caution 1: Request for Upgrading the Version of the Related Models Used in Combination 1. If this model is used in combination with PDW-U1, it is recommended that the PDW-U1 software be updated to v 2.30 2. When using the FAM DRIVER of the WINDOWS version, upgrade the FAM DRIVER to version v2.30 or higher before use. When using the FAM DRIVER of the MAC version, upgrade the FAM DRIVER to version v2.3.0 or higher before use. 3. Upgrade PDZ-1 to version V2.70 or higher before use. 4. When this model is going to be used in combination with PDW-510/510P, PDW-530/530P, PDW-539P, PDW-1500, PDW-V1, PDW-R1, PDW-D1, PDW-F350/F355, PDW-F330/F335, PDW-F70/F75, PDW-F30 or PDW-70MD/75MD, upgrade the software version of these equipment to V1.56 or higher beforehand. At the same time, when a disc that is recorded with the above equipment is going to be processed by Full Salvage, implement Full Salvage by using the equipment of the same model and version. 5. Upgrade HDCA-702 to version V1.10 or higher before use. Caution 2: Cautions when Upgrading Version 1. Do not perform upgrades from existing versions below v 1.21. 2. Be sure to use an external DC power for version upgrade. 3. Implement the version upgrade without a disc inserted in the equipment. 4. Set the VDR switch to the STBY position. 5. If an i.LINK cable and audio cable (including headphones cable) is connected, disconnect these cables. 6. If the power is turned OFF or the network cable is disconnected while download is in progress, the software package cannot be restored. ▪ It is recommended that users execute an “ALL FILE SAVE” before starting upgrade, and execute an “ALL FILE LOAD” upon completion of upgrade.
Version Upgrade via USB 1. Copy the software package file to the root directory (top level) of the USB drive. 2. Verify that the USB port on the camcorder is enabled in Operation Menu O07 Power Save under “Ethernet/USB.” 3. Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the rear portion of the handle. If the USB drive has a status light, the light will blink for a few seconds as the drive is registered. 4. Proceed to the Diagnosis menu, page D03, “Rom Version 1.” You will need to begin from the TOP menu, which is accessed by turning the menu on while holding down the rotary encoder. From here, navigate to the Diagnosis submenu, then to page D03. This page will display the currently installed package file. If the currently installed package file is below version 1.21, install version 1.21 first, then upgrade to 1.6x. 5. Press and hold the rotary encoder. “Searching Package File” will blink in the display as the PDW-700 checks the USB drive. When the upgrade file is recognized both version numbers will appear in the display with an arrow indicating the upgrade path (e.g. “Package 1.24 1.63”). 6. Use the rotary encoder to move the cursor to PACKAGE and then press the rotary encoder in to start the upgrade. A confirmation message will appear. Use the rotary encoder to select “Yes.” 7. The firmware update will begin. During the upgrade the tally light on the camera may flash. A status indication will also show on the display. The upgrade takes roughly 20 minutes to complete. 8. When the upgrade is finished “Completed” along with the new version information and a prompt to cycle the power on the camera will appear on the display. Turn the camcorder off/on to complete the upgrade process.
